The Outdoor Amenities Residents Love

By May 7, 2019Uncategorized

In this month’s partnership with Multi-Housing News, we reveal the outdoor amenities and features that residents love most in their communities—and what’s on their wish lists for the future.

“We’d like for there to be more bike storage and to expand the community garden! A pergola around the fire pit to hang up more seating (or even hammocks) could be a nice addition. Also a dog washing station for the dog owners. If there isn’t one already, an ironing station in the laundry room would be nice as well.” —Seattle, Wash.

“I enjoy the grounds (beautiful plants and landscape) as well as the facilities (gym, BBQ, and bocce ball court). All of these things help me feel more relaxed and happy when I return home from work.” —San Mateo, Calif.

“Affordable rental price without sacrificing quality. I love the open community spaces, great green spaces for our dog, great parking ramp, and super-convenient location. We spend lots of time on the balcony too!” —Centennial, Colo.

“The property is not kid-friendly, so some type of outdoor play area would be nice. The back grass area has no fence to the river and can be dangerous for kids running after a ball.” —Norwalk, Conn.

“The trails through the woods and the 24-hour fitness center are my favorite things. The dog run is perfect for my dog, and the pool is gorgeous. I love living here.” —Land O’Lakes, Fla.

“I love the landscaping, wooded areas, outdoor seating area with TV, grill, fire, a nearby greenspace/park, and a trail. The lovely outdoors area is what I like most here.” —Woodstock, Ga.

“The large balcony, pavilion area, trail access, and trustworthy management are some of my favorite features. I particularly love the study room area with the take a book, share a book program.” —Snellville, Ga.

“We would appreciate better landscaping with a focus on providing paths for foot and bike traffic, along with small community areas for the complex where residents can interact with each other. It would make for a much more pleasant experience.” —Richmond, Va.
